Jill Blanchar Jordan
An inherited love of photography from her father led Jill to receive her first camera on her 10th birthday. Her father always had a camera on family trips and she has fond memories of waiting and waiting for him to make his image.
Jill graduated from the University of South Florida with a computer science degree and earned a graduate degree in remote sensing from the University of Illinois. Fulltime she is a technology risk executive at a major financial firm with photography filling her time outside of work. The technical aspects along with creativity drive her passion for photography.
As a firm believer of giving back to the community, she photographs for local non-profit groups. Additionally, she is the board president of the Dallas Center for Photography (DCP). DCP is photographic arts non-profit that believes in the power of photography to fuel personal growth and connect the community through education, events and exhibitions
Jill lives in Dallas, Texas and spends extended time periods in southern Henderson County, North Carolina.
